Do You Know?

Capital Dynamics Sdn Bhd is the first independent investment adviser in Malaysia. It has been described as "one of the country's most iconoclastic and critical research outfits".

Since our inception in 1988, we have remained totally independent and have been providing objective advice on Stockmarkets and Economies through i Capital.

The i Capital newsletter is its flagship product. It has been around since 1989.

In 2002, www.icapital.biz, the online version of i Capital was launched.

In October 2005, icapital.biz Berhad, a RM140 million Close-End Fund was listed on the Main Board of Bursa Malaysia. This fund is managed by Capital Dynamics Asset Management Sdn Bhd and advised by Capital Dynamics Sdn Bhd.

In 2006, Capital Dynamics achieved a major milestone when it established Capital Dynamics (S) Pte Limited in Singapore, its platform for global investing. With this, it became the first Asian-owned fund manager to invest worldwide.

In July 2007, Capital Dynamics (S) Pte Ltd launched the i Capital Global Fund.

Capital Dynamics continues to expand with Capital Dynamics (Australia) Ltd incorporated in 2008. Also a global fund manager, it aims to provide investors with access to our proven investment success.

In July 2009, Capital Dynamics (Australia) Ltd launched the i Capital International Value Fund targeting at retail investors.

•General Manager, Operations

Experience and Qualifications:

3-5 years direct recent experience in retail funds management (back office operations) gained from a licensed fund manager or an organization that operates retail or any managed investment schemes.
Extensive knowledge of financial instruments – especially equities/ managed funds and have back office experience in valuation of assets, unit pricing and distributions for retail managed investment schemes.
A strong knowledge of corporate actions, dividends, cash and valuation reconciliations and portfolio accounting.
Exposure to international equity settlements.
Good understanding of managed investment schemes and individually managed products.
Possess RG 146 qualification.

Possess a solid degree from a reputable university
Self-motivated, results focused individual with strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Job Description:

•Accountant

Capital Dynamics (Australia) Ltd, based in Sydney's CBD, is looking to recruit an Accountant for its relatively new operations. As part of a small team, you will perform a broad range of duties.

Your role will include:

Fulfilling the monthly, quarterly and annual accounting requirements;
Preparing management reports, including budgets, forecasts, and reconciliations;
Handling payroll, superannuation, tax, etc such as GST, FBT, Payroll Tax, BAS statement, etc;
Dealing with auditor and tax agent;
Assisting in compliance and administrative matters;
Developing procedures and controls for the business.

Requirements

You must have a minimum of 5 years, full-time, accounting experience in the Australian corporate environment and have an Accounting degree and/or professional qualifications. Some previous experience in the Australian funds management industry and familiarity with the reporting requirements of ASIC is an advantage.

As the company’s only Accountant, you need to be justifiably confident, be able to work independently and be extremely well organised. The Accounting/Finance Manager will set up and supervise financial and management accounting policies and functions across our various companies located in several countries. Besides being responsible for the whole set of financial reporting, she needs to also perform controllership duties and assist in tax planning. •Systems Analysts

Responsibilities:

As part of a Global IT team your responsibilities will include:

Develop and maintain Global Websites and web based applications for in-house use.
Requirements analysis, Software Design, coding, testing and documentation.
Research and Design relational databases for various IT systems.
Implementation and continuos maintenance of the systems. Working with the people who use the systems.
Research and implement OSS based technology.
Travelling and communicating with team members as well as service providers based in other countries.

Requirements:

Passionate about web application development, System Administration and Support and a perfectionist.
Excellent in SQL and variety of database systems such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, MSSQL 2000 and higher. Knowledge of other database systems is an added advantage.
Excellent understanding of Computer Security and Web Technologies.
Skilled in web programming languages. PHP, ASP Classic, HTML, CSS, XML.
Knowledge of scripting languages using bash, python and perl is an advantage.
Basic system administration of LAMP and Windows Servers.
A natural with Linux for everyday use.
Knowledge and usage of OSS tools and OSS CMS, DMS like Joomla, Drupal, Typo3, Alfresco is considered an edge.
Practical implementation of E-commerce and Payment gateway is an added advantage.
Ability to work in a team environment as well as individual responsibility.

•Operations Executive

As an integral part of a rapidly expanding group, the Operations Executive will assist the management in all areas of the company's operations which include handling subscriptions, liaising with suppliers, maintaining information systems, implementing process improvements and more.

The candidate is expected to use a combination of IT solutions and operation methods to improve the key business processes, from order processing, clients servicing to production and delivery of i Capital, our weekly investment report.

The candidate should be highly resourceful, have good organizational skills and have the drive to contribute and the initiative to improve processes and efficiency of the company's operations.

• Web Designer

Well versed in technical design of modular & reusable system architecture.
Working knowledge in Unix/Linux as well as Windows Server environment.
