In 2Q 2020, the producer price index for the manufacturing sector increased by 1.3% from a year earlier (figure 1). The increase was due to price increases in the food, beverages and tobacco (1.2%); metal, computer, electronic & optical products, machinery & equipment (1.7%); and miscellaneous manufacturing industries (1.6%).
