In Jun 2026, the number of unemployed persons increased by 0.9% month-on-month to 517,800, but edged down by 0.2% year-on-year. The unemployment rate remained at 3.0%, unchanged for the third consecutive month (figure 1).

Meanwhile, the number of persons outside the labour force increased marginally by 0.1% to 7.11 mln (table 1). The labour force participation rate held steady at 70.9% for the sixth consecutive month.
