This week, i Capital features LAC Med Berhad ("LAC Med"), an integrated medical devices and related services company in the healthcare industry. Founded in Selangor in 2003, LAC Med made its debut on the Bursa Malaysia Main Market on 10 Dec 2025 following a RM55.65-mln Initial Public Offering (IPO). Proceeds from the IPO will be allocated to fund its strategic initiatives, including the establishment of a new head office, expansion into Indonesia, and the launch of two new business segments, namely, Equipment-as-a-Service (EaaS) and Medical Device Asset Management Services (MEAMS). Over its 21-year operating history, the Group has evolved from a medical consumable supplier to an integrated provider of medical device solutions in Malaysia.

Business Overview

LAC Med specialises in the supply and integration of medical devices, offering third-party medical equipment and related products to health service providers, including clinics, public and private hospitals. The medical supply and integration business involves providing fixed and large equipment, which require specialised space design, area renovations and mechanical and electrical (M&E) work. As such, LAC Med's principal activity is categorised as three main revenue segments (figure 1): supply and integration of medical devices, supply of medical equipment, and supply of related products and services.
