Malaysia – Nov sales value

In Nov, the manufacturing sales value rose 0.5%, month-on-month, and jumped 10.9%, year-on-year, to RM66.6 bln. The year-on-year growth was mainly due to double-digit increases in the sales value of veneer sheets & plywood products, refined petroleum products, communication equipment, and computers & computer peripherals – see table 1. Meanwhile, the sales value of the domestic- and export-oriented industries grew by 6.3% and 12.9% respectively on a year-on-year basis – see figure 1. In Jan-Nov 2017, total sales value increased 14.2% when compared with a year ago.
