Note from Publisher
The Melaka election result looked like Malaysia has gone back to the good old days when Barisan Nasional was the dominant political force in the country. This is certainly a big change from the situation a few years ago. Probably the winning coalition itself did not expect such a great victory and the losing ones did not expect such a huge change in voter sentiment within such a short period of time. What does the Melaka election result mean for the country’s political landscape ? Will this trend repeat in the Sarawak election ? Is political turmoil finally over for Malaysia ? How will this impact the Malaysian economy and the KLSE?

Politics and the economy are closely intertwined. The development of one will often have a great impact on the other. This is especially true for Malaysia where her political institutions are still not well established. The political and economic developments will in turn affect the performance of KLSE. How should investors navigate in this confusing situation ?

For a frank, objective, and well-researched discussion on the nation’s future and the direction of KLSE, please join Tan Teng Boo and team on 4 Dec 2021 (English session) and 5 Dec 2021 (Mandarin session). Visit https://events.icapital.biz/ to find out more.
